Plato's Man Cave
Plato's Allegory of the Cave compares people to prisoners who are chained inside a cave and can only see shadows flickering on the back wall from a fire behind them. Meanwhile, a philosopher is like someone who has freed themself from the cave and can see the true nature of reality outside.

So basically, Plato's like a guy who walks out of the theater early because he doesn't like the movie -- then goes home and watches reality TV.
